Job Description

Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Consult, a globally leading pharmaceutical company. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing corrective and preventative maintenance of all mechanical equipment on site, ensuring the reliable and safe operation of the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective preventative maintenance of process, utility, and facility equipment and systems to support site production and building functions.
  • Fault finding and problem solving on mechanical systems to minimize business impact.
  • Identify and implement improvements in mechanical systems.
  • Implement installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
  • Work as part of a team to maintain the site to a safe and reliable standard, sharing skills and expertise to ensure efficient and effective maintenance service.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of all mechanical equipment on site.
  • Awareness of manufacturing and site processes and protocols, with the ability to make risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • Recognized training to City & Guilds standard or NVQ Level 3 in engineering.
  • Demonstratable experience in mechanical installation and fault finding.
  • Experience of working with steam plant and an understanding of pressure systems regulations.
  • Ability to work without supervision but also as a member of the engineering team.
  • Flexible and able to work on a 24/7 on-call rota.
  • Desirable: Electrical safe isolation and basic fault finding, Mechanical engineer with a good knowledge of chiller plant, centrifugal pumps, and chilled water system.
