We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Little Angels Nursery, part of the MiChild Group. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the daily operation of the nursery, working closely with the Manager and staff to ensure the highest standards of care and education for our children.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification, excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and experience of working with children and families. You will be responsible for managing the nursery's administrative procedures, ensuring compliance with Ofsted requirements and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our children.

We offer a competitive salary of £26,624 per year, plus a range of benefits including a £300 joining bonus, staff discount on childcare fees, and a comprehensive training program. Key responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Manager on a daily basis and provide support to the team
  • Work as part of the nursery team to deliver high-quality care and education
  • Make decisions on the day-to-day running of the nursery in the absence of a Manager
  • Follow all administrative procedures and ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements
  • Be a positive role model to other staff and have a thorough working knowledge of the nursery's policies and procedures
  • Assist in the training of staff and manage staffing levels as needed
  • Attend meetings as part of the management team and be flexible with shifts and duties

Key requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families
  • Extensive knowledge of Safeguarding and experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies
  • Previous experience as a Room Supervisor or Deputy Manager in a nursery environment
  • Enthusiasm, professionalism, and creativity
