Job Title: Bank Chef

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bank Chef to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a Bank Chef, you will have the opportunity to work with fresh seasonal food, create nutritious and flavorsome menus, and deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the long hours and split shifts.

About the Role:
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating menus that cater to the preferences of our residents
  • Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, working with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes
  • Help create a warm, efficient, and fun environment in the kitchen
  • Work within budget, complete regular audits, and manage stock control
  • Assist in leading and motivating a team of chefs

Requirements:
  • Hold a City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in helping lead and inspire a team
  • Good understanding of nutrition and experience of working with fresh seasonal food
  • Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment
  • Good understanding of HACCP
