Job Title: Bank Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bank Chef to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a Bank Chef, you will play a vital role in creating nutritious and flavorsome menus for our residents, while working closely with our Head Chef to deliver high-quality dishes.

About the Role:
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes, cooked to the highest standards.
  • Help create a warm and welcoming environment in the kitchen, promoting a positive and efficient working atmosphere.
  • Work within budget, completing regular audits and managing stock control.
  • Assist in leading and motivating a team, promoting a culture of excellence and quality.

Requirements:
  • A personable and warm approach, with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of our residents.
  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in helping lead and inspire a team.
  • A good understanding of nutrition and experience of working with fresh seasonal food.
  • The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home.
  • A good understanding of HACCP.
