Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled barista to join our team as a Beverage Expert. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

You will work closely with the culinary team to create unique beverage offerings and menus that exceed customer expectations. Your expertise, creativity, and passion for coffee and other beverages will help us stay ahead of the competition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement new beverage menus and promotions to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members on beverage preparation and presentation techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, and following sanitation guidelines.
  • Operate coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers with precision and care.
  • Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system accurately.
  • Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service and a positive work environment.
  • Stay informed about coffee trends and continuously improve your knowledge and skills through training and practice.
Qualifications

To succeed as a Beverage Expert, you should have previous experience as a barista or in a similar role. You must have a deep understanding of coffee and other beverages, including their origins, flavors, and preparation methods.

You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with customers, colleagues, and suppliers. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure are also essential.

In addition, you should be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and operating the point-of-sale system are required.

Able-bodied individuals who can lift and carry heavy items, such as bags of coffee beans and milk containers, are preferred.
