Job Summary:

Zest Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special educational needs school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of children with Autism (ASC) aged 4-11.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities to children with special educational needs.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with Autism, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with Autism.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
