Safeguarding Leadership Role in a Leading NHS Organisation

Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum. A rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to take on a vital leadership role within the safeguarding team of NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified nurse to fill the position of Designated Nurse for Safeguarding Children, Children Looked After, and Care Leavers. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the safeguarding team, providing strategic guidance and advice, and ensuring that our organisation meets its statutory responsibilities in this area.

Your Responsibilities:

Lead the safeguarding team and provide expert guidance and support on all aspects of safeguarding children and care leavers.Ensure that our organisation is meeting its statutory responsibilities in relation to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.Develop and implement policies and procedures related to safeguarding and child protection.Work closely with other agencies and professionals to ensure effective multi-agency working and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Masters-level postgraduate degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience of working at a similar level in a specialist area.
  • Registered Part 3 Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
