About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Assurance Manager to join our team at National Grid ESO. As a key member of our Assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our engineering processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver audits of complex engineering processes operated by ESO and supervise the delivery of audits performed by other team members.
  • Lead the delivery of audits of cross-vector processes (electricity, natural gas, and hydrogen) as NESO assumes greater responsibilities.
  • Provide through-life assurance that process changes and engineering projects are set up for success.
  • Support the Engineering Assurance Senior Manager in implementing and auditing compliance with the NESO's Engineering Standards.
About You

We are looking for someone with a strong technical background in power systems and electrical engineering, as well as experience in designing and implementing controls to mitigate process risks. You should also have a good understanding of legislative requirements relevant to the electricity supply industry.
