Day-to-day of the role:
- Teach Physical Education to students with special educational needs (SEN), focusing on social, emotional, and mental health development.
- Create engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to the needs of all students.
- Foster a positive, stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation and learning.
- Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the educational experience and provide holistic support to students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods and materials as needed.
- Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the school's vibrant community.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Physical Education Specialist, with specific experience working with students with SEN.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH needs.
- Ability to create and adapt engaging physical education activities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Resilience, patience, and a positive outlook, with a good sense of humour.
- Physically fit and able to participate actively in sports and physical activities.
- Must be a car driver, calm, enthusiastic, creative, and a reliable role model.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
