About the Role

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team in Hull. As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions. Your role will involve assisting individuals with daily living tasks, promoting independence, and supporting them to pursue their interests and hobbies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care
  • Provide emotional support and listen to individuals' problems and concerns
  • Understand and adapt communication to meet individual needs
  • Offer unconditional positive regard and respect individuals' dignity
  • Support individuals to pursue their interests and hobbies
  • Assist with budgeting and handling monies
  • Accompany individuals to appointments and meetings
  • Liaise with other support workers, social workers, and healthcare professionals
Essential Skills and Experience

We are looking for individuals with a minimum of 1 year's experience in the care sector. Ideally, you will be qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Social Care. You must be able to communicate clearly and sensitively with vulnerable people and their families.
