About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Lancashire County Council. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with disabilities to live their lives to the fullest.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily support to individuals with learning disabilities, including assistance with personal care, managing finances, administering medication, and ensuring their overall well-being.

You will work closely with our team to develop personalized support plans, promoting independence, dignity, and respect for each individual. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and have a person-centered approach, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support to adults with learning disabilities in their own homes
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Support with managing finances, including budgeting and shopping
  • Administer medication as required
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to promote independence and well-being

Requirements:

  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
