Job Summary
The University for the Creative Arts is seeking a skilled Facilities Assistant to support our Estates and Facilities department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our campus facilities, including opening and locking premises, security, fire prevention, and maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily operation of campus facilities, including opening and locking premises, security, and fire prevention.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including basic repairs and upkeep of facilities.
- Support the Estates and Facilities team in maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Participate in emergency and out-of-hours on-call duties, as required.
Requirements
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and the public.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
- Basic IT skills and willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- First aid training and certification, or willingness to obtain.
