Purchasing Role for Imerys

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to join our team at Imerys. As an IES Category Manager, you will play a key role in implementing the purchasing process and working closely with project managers and stream leaders to ensure the successful execution of our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with project teams to develop and implement purchasing plans
  • Manage the sourcing process, including commercial bid tabulations, contract negotiations, and finalization
  • Ensure the proper implementation of the Sourcing Request tool and coordinate with other purchasing categories as appropriate
  • Support the Sustainability program of Imerys, including Ecovadis registration and CO2 impact
  • Negotiate contracts and attend project meetings
  • Collaborate with the legal department for contract preparation and resolution of claims

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business or Engineering with specialization in purchasing
  • Strong experience in purchasing industrial equipment, engineering contracts, and indirect services
  • Experience in contract negotiation and interface management
  • Project management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
