Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Machine Operative to join our team. As a Machine Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our machines by assisting with setup, monitoring, and performing routine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup machines according to job specifications
  • Ensure all necessary materials and tools are available and prepared for production runs
  • Observe the gluing process to ensure smooth machine operation
  • Check for consistent glue application, ensuring products meet quality standards
  • Report any machine malfunctions or product defects to Shift Manager immediately
  • Perform visual inspections of products to ensure proper gluing and alignment
  • Remove and set aside defective products for further review
  • Load materials (cardboard) into the machine as needed
  • Assist in replenishing materials during production runs to prevent downtime
  • Assist in cleaning and basic maintenance of machines, ensuring they are kept in good working condition
  • Support with minor repairs and adjustments as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and handle materials
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle small parts and materials
