Exciting Opportunity in Laboratory Services

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Equipment Engineer/Scientific Equipment Coordinator to join our team at a global market-leading laboratory services provider. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing prompt and flexible specialist engineering and equipment triage support for laboratory equipment, including Centrifuges, HPLC, Microscopes, Balances, Pipettes, and Cold Storage.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in healthcare on a global scale. As a Laboratory Equipment Engineer/Scientific Equipment Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing specialist engineering and equipment triage support for laboratory equipment.
  • Supporting users in the preparation and design of operating procedures, SOPs, Change Control, and manuals.
  • Carrying out regular asset sweeps and re-tagging of equipment.
  • Monitoring the performance of scientific equipment and systems using Key Performance Indicators to instigate improvements and influence changes.
  • Managing the availability of essential spares to support laboratory equipment and systems.
About the Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Circa 2 years of experience as a site-based or Field Service Engineer with experience servicing laboratory equipment.
  • A relevant engineering or scientific qualification (ONC, HNC, NVQ, City & Guilds BSc, MSc, etc.) or be qualified by experience.
  • GMP Regulatory knowledge and experience.
  • PC literacy in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • The ability to work with your own initiative but team-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
