Join Our Team as a Laboratory Equipment Engineer/Scientific Equipment Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Equipment Engineer/Scientific Equipment Coordinator to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our laboratory operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory equipment, providing technical support to our scientists and engineers, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt and flexible specialist engineering and equipment triage support for laboratory equipment, including Centrifuges, HPLC, Microscopes, Balances, Pipettes, and Cold Storage.
  • Support users in the preparation and design of operating procedures, SOPs, Change Control, and deviation manuals.
  • Carry out regular asset sweeps and re-tagging of equipment as required.
  • Monitor the performance of scientific equipment and systems using Key Performance Indicators to instigate improvements and influence changes.
  • Manage the availability of essential spares to support the range of equipment and systems used within the R&D facilities in a cost-effective manner.
Requirements:
  • Circa 2 years of experience as a site-based or Field Service Engineer with experience servicing laboratory equipment.
  • Hold a relevant engineering or scientific qualification (ONC, HNC, NVQ, City & Guilds BSc, MSc, etc.) or be qualified by experience.
  • GMP Regulatory knowledge and experience.
  • PC literate in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to work with your own initiative but team-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
