Salary: We are offering a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

As a Care Manager at SuperCare Residential, you will be responsible for leading our team of carers in providing high-quality care and support to young people with learning disabilities. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Direct work with young people, including key working and provision of support and care on a shift basis
  • Working in partnership with young people, their social workers, and other relevant agencies to coordinate, monitor, and review care plans and risk assessments
  • Taking responsibility for the upkeep of the establishment, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and making autonomous decisions about individual young people's requests and behaviour
  • Administrative tasks associated with key working responsibilities and the daily running of the home
  • Ensuring young people take as much responsibility for their own lives as possible, keeping them informed of their circumstances and rights, involving them in planning their lives, and supporting them towards greater independence

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 or 5 NVQ in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Experience of working with children with learning disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to lead and manage a team
  • A flexible approach to working hours, including shifts and weekends
