Key Responsibilities:
- Leading with Passion: Provide leadership and direction to staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment. Ensuring that the provisions of person-centred care to residents, meeting their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Championing Resident Care: Oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care, including medication administration and adherence to care plans. Ensure residents' physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Excellence in Operations: Collaborate with the Manager to maintain regulatory compliance and manage the day-to-day operations of the care home facility. Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for residents.
- Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with residents, families, and stakeholders, addressing concerns promptly and professionally. Supervise and train care staff on best practices.
- Commitment to Quality: Maintain accurate records and foster continuous improvement by regularly evaluating care and implementing changes.
- Safety First: Ensure the safety and security of residents and staff.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management or equivalent
- Proven experience in a management role within the healthcare or residential care industry
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, compassionate and empathetic approach to resident care, always prioritising their well-being
- Ability to manage resources effectively and make informed decisions to optimise operational performance
- Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends and provide out-of-hours on-call
- Must be a UK resident or have settled status
