Job Overview
East of Scotland is seeking a seasoned Estate Manager to oversee the maintenance, compliance, and development of our property portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on risk management practices, leading refurbishment projects, and managing service contracts.

About the Role
This full-time position offers a competitive salary of £60,000 per annum, plus a car allowance of £400 per month. The role involves traveling across Scotland, with occasional overnight stays. If you have experience in property management, surveying, or contract administration, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead refurbishment projects up to £2M, including specification development, consultant appointments, and contract administration
- Conduct pre-acquisition and dilapidation surveys, as well as annual condition surveys
- Respond to major building defects and oversee reactive maintenance
- Prepare and manage 5-year planned preventative maintenance budgets
- Manage service contracts, ensuring compliance certifications are current

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Professional accreditation (MRICS Building Surveyor or MCIOB) or relevant experience
- Skilled in JCT contract documentation and administration
- Strong understanding of risk management practices related to fire safety, legionella, and asbestos
- Familiarity with commercial M&E system installations
- Experience in the care home sector is desirable
