Pet Therapy Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Pet Therapy Support Worker at Derian House. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with our trained dogs and make a positive impact on the lives of children, young people, and their families.
As a Pet Therapy Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing emotional support and comfort to those in need. This may involve engaging children and young people in gentle activities such as walking, playing, or simply spending time with our friendly dogs.
This is a rewarding and challenging role that requires strong observational skills, friendly communication skills, and basic animal behavior understanding. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and commit to regular weekly visits to Derian House.
The estimated salary for this role is £11-12 per hour. We offer a competitive rate of pay, as well as lunch and travel allowance for each shift.
As part of your training, you will receive a full site induction and mandatory annual training to ensure you have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role.
