Job Description:
Michelle Denny Recruitment is delighted to partner with a well-established local business located on the Norfolk/Suffolk border in their search for an experienced Business Development Manager. This newly created hybrid role combines a nice mix of building strong relationships with an already well-established client base, alongside capitalising on your business development skills to extend the reach of their unique products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate clearly and support existing business contracts, follow up to ensure each client is satisfied with the company's products and services.
- Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, customers, products, and services, with new ways of reaching existing markets.
- Generate leads and cold call prospective customers, both face to face and over the phone.
- Foster and develop strong relationships with customers, clients, and partners to enable repeat business as well as finding new opportunities.
- Be hands on when required and have the ability to work collaboratively within all areas of the business including the customer service team who will support in account management.
Requirements:
- Experience and proficient within a business development/account manager role, ideally with a production/manufacturing background, it would be a real advantage if you have experience within the printing, packaging, or conversion industry.
- A strategic approach to promote business development, with a professional and personable nature to maintain and expand the existing client base.
- Resourceful in nature with the ability to research the market to identify credible leads, and the capability to gain knowledge and insight into existing clients to generate repeat business.
- The ability to work collaboratively with marketing and other areas of the business to deliver company objectives.
- Good IT skills including knowledge of Sage 200 and the Microsoft Suite.
- A valid UK driving license with no more than 3 penalty points, as some travel would be required.
