Job Description

SHE Advisor Role

We are seeking an experienced SHE Advisor to join our team at Carbon60, a reputable Mechanical and Engineering company. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring SHE performance at Regional and Depot level, reporting to Operational Management on good performance and best practices, as well as deficiencies and areas of weakness identified.

The SHE Advisor will provide key support with regards to the development and implementation of improvement actions, initiatives, and plans. This will include assisting in the management of the company's environmental responsibilities in compliance with environmental requirements.

The SHE Advisor will investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and share lessons learned. They will also review documentation for appropriate health and safety content, visit sites, and advise site management on day-to-day health and safety matters.

The SHE Advisor will ensure compliance with UK Health and Safety Legislation, CDM Regs, and Client's standards. They will promote and encourage best practice, deliver toolbox talks on health, safety, and well-being themes, and participate in health and well-being promotional campaigns.

Requirements

  • Minimum NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
  • Passionate about the Health and Safety Profession
  • Experience, knowledge, and understanding of the application of SHE management principles and best practice within an operational environment
  • Proven track record of engaging effectively with stakeholders in SHE matters and requirements
  • Experience of developing and improving processes, and driving SHE performance
  • Excellent IT skills with experience in using Teams, Excel, and Databases
  • Professional approach, self-organised, and motivated to positively influence stakeholders
