We are seeking a highly motivated SHE Advisor - South Coast to join our dynamic team at Carbon60. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and stakeholders.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, with experience in monitoring performance, reporting incidents, and implementing improvement actions.

You will work closely with our operational management team to develop and implement effective health and safety strategies, and ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety Legislation/CDM Regs/Client's standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring SHE performance at Regional and Depot level.
  • Reporting to Operational Management on good performance/best practice as well as deficiencies and areas of weakness identified.
  • Provision of key support regarding the development and implementation of improvement actions, initiatives, and plans.
  • Assisting in the management of the company's environmental responsibilities in compliance with environmental requirements.
  • Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses and sharing lessons learned.
  • Reviewing documentation for appropriate health & safety content (RAMS, CPPs, etc).
  • Visiting our sites and advising site management on day-to-day health & safety matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
  • Passionate about the Health & Safety Profession.
  • Experience, knowledge, and understanding of the application of SHE management principles and best practices within an operational environment.
  • Proven track record of engaging effectively with stakeholders in SHE matters and requirements.
  • Experience of developing and improving processes, and driving SHE performance.
  • Background in Construction, Mechanical or Electrical engineering, or a DNO background.
  • Willingness to challenge unsatisfactory conditions or breaches.
  • Excellent IT skills with experience in using Teams, Excel, and Databases.
