Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Operations Lead to join our client's import logistics team. This role requires a hands-on individual who can manage day-to-day activities, including CHIEF Entries, CDS Entries, Duty Reclaims, and staff management. The ideal candidate will have a broad expertise in all Customs environments and be able to advise existing customers on Customs Compliance.

The core purpose of this role is to oversee and lead a team of 3, which will include organizing daily activities, ensuring quality control procedures are updated and adhered to, and conducting audits/compliance. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing ERTS compliance records, inventory controls, and liaising with Border Force and other regulatory bodies.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. They will also have a deep understanding of the Customs regulations and be able to apply this knowledge to ensure seamless imports.

**Key Responsibilities:**
* Air & Sea-freight Customs Clearance
* Creation and management of ERTS compliance records
* Inventory Controls
* Liaising with Border Force and other regulatory bodies
* Ensuring all quality controls procedures are updated and adhered to
* Audits/Compliance
* Duty & VAT Reclaims
* Customer queries and questions
* Ad hoc duties (Filing / Drop documents to Customs etc.)

**Requirements:**
* Team management experience
* Knowledge of CDS for customs purposes is required
* Knowledge of different types of imports is required (eg: bonded warehouse, IPR, TIB, etc)
* Detail-oriented
* Problem solving skills
* Able to multitask and highly organized
* Motivation and determination to succeed
* Able to work in a busy office environment, or work on your own
* Clear and confident communicator, both verbally and written
* A flexible/adaptable approach to work
* Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision

**Salary:** £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
