About the Role

The General Assistant position at Sanctuary Supported Living is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to providing high-quality support services to our customers.

As a General Assistant, you will be responsible for undertaking general duties as assigned, including maintaining the cleanliness of all communal areas, offices, and the kitchen. You will also ensure all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard and identify and report potential faults and hazards on site to maintain a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of all communal areas, offices, and the kitchen
  • Ensuring all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard
  • Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site
  • Maintaining stock levels and restocking as required
  • Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards
  • Ensuring customers' privacy and dignity are maintained and respected

Requirements

  • Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable
  • Some experience of working in a domestic/catering environment
  • Level 2 diploma in housekeeping/catering, or willing to work towards
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • A general understanding of health and safety in the work place
