Kibble, Scotland's specialist provider of services for at-risk children and young people, is seeking a skilled Child Therapist Specialist to join their team. This Survivors of Childhood Abuse Support (SOCAS) fund aims to help adult survivors enjoy a safe and healthy life with improved wellbeing and feel an increased sense of safety and trust.

About the Role:
  • This position involves facilitating individual therapy sessions with young adults across various residential and community settings.
  • The successful candidate will create a safe environment and build a strong therapeutic relationship where young individuals can openly discuss their experiences, allowing them to build confidence, raise self-esteem, improve emotional wellbeing and resilience.
  • Responsibilities include attending professionals' meetings, contributing to risk management and safety meetings, keeping accurate case records, writing reports, and evaluating the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
Requirements:
  • A psychotherapist qualification recognised by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent.
  • Professional registration with HCPC, BACP, or other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Experience in providing both in-person and online therapy sessions.
  • A minimum 2 years' experience working with adolescents and young adults with complex needs is desirable.
  • Experience supporting care-experienced adolescents and young adults is also desirable.

Salary: £31,000 - £37,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
