Process Controls Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Process Controls Engineer to join our team on an interim basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading existing control systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain the upkeep of process control systems and applications
- Ensure data backup and integrity
- Collaborate with Process Improvement and Process Engineering teams to develop and program control sequences
- Implement standards for DCS, ESD, and SCADA HMI packages
- Analyze and resolve users' requirements and equipment-related process control queries
- Develop and update standards for new or modified control system architecture
- Ensure change management practices are followed when altering the control system
- Stay up-to-date with technology development and its application, including Advanced Process Control
- Provide input on infrastructure improvements
- Assist with operational implementation of process control and infrastructure modifications and upgrades
- Offer technical expertise in support of capital projects, process evaluation, and project modifications
- HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical/Controls (EC&I) or similar
- Relevant experience in Process Control and Safety Shutdown hardware, software, and configuration
- Essential experience with Emerson DeltaV
- Advantageous experience with ABB System6
- Experience in continuous manufacturing process environments, ideally in a top-tier COMAH site
- Demonstrated ability to understand fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving techniques using Process Control systems and Data Historian
- Experience in communication systems such as OPC, Modbus, and ethernet networking would be advantageous
