Process Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Controls Engineer to join our team at ATA Recruitment. As a Process Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upgrade of existing control systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain the upkeep of process control systems and applications
- Ensure everything is backed up
- Support Process Improvement and Process Engineering teams in the development and programming of control sequences
- Utilize standards developed for programming of DCS, ESD and SCADA HMI packages
- Examine and translate users' requirements and/or equipment-related process control queries into appropriate solutions
- Develop/update standards for any new/modified control system architecture
- Ensure change management practices are followed when altering the control system
- Provide input on new technologies considered and stay abreast of technology development and its application
- Develop recommendations for the improvement of infrastructure
- Assist with operational implementation of the process control and infrastructure modifications and upgrades
- Provide technical expertise in support of capital projects, process evaluation, and project modifications
- HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical/Controls (EC&I) or similar
- Demonstrate relevant experience in Process Control and Safety Shutdown hardware, software and configuration
- Emerson DeltaV experience essential
- ABB System6 experience would be an advantage
- Experience within a continuous manufacturing process environment (ideally a top-tier COMAH site) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to understand fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving techniques using Process Control systems and Data Historian
- Experience in communication systems such as OPC, Modbus, ethernet networking would be advantageous
