About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nursery Assistant to join our team at Rainbow Nursery, a workplace nursery for staff working for East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare and education to children aged 6 months to 8 years, while maintaining a safe, caring, and stimulating environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist the Management team in providing the highest quality childcare and education.
- Plan and execute educational activities for children attending the full-day care services.
- Maintain child-to-staff ratios and work within and follow Ofsted and Trust procedures and policies.
- Provide appropriate play opportunities and interact positively with children while in our care.
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers and provide detailed information about their child's day.

Person Specification
- Good general level of education, including Maths and English.
- NVQ level 2 in Childcare and Education.
- Previous experience working in a setting with children under 5 years old.
