About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nursery Assistant to join our team at Rainbow Nursery, a workplace nursery for staff working for East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare and education to children aged 6 months to 8 years.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Management team in providing a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children.
- Plan and execute educational activities for children, maintaining child-to-staff ratios and adhering to Ofsted and Trust procedures.
- Provide positive interactions with children, promoting their language and learning opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers, sharing information about their child's day.
- Work within the framework of the nursery's behavior management procedures.

Person Specification
- Good general level of education, including Maths and English.
- NVQ level 2 in Childcare and Education.
- Previous experience working in a setting with children under 5 years old.
