Senior Offshore Structural Engineer

Job Summary:

KBR, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Offshore Structural Engineer to join our Integrated Solutions business unit. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting the lead engineer in the preparation of engineering deliverables within the scope assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Independently perform engineering analyses for operational, non-operational, and accidental phases, and carry out design of primary steel.
  2. Perform secondary and tertiary steel design.
  3. Provide input for Structural 3D modeling and drawing production.
  4. Compile Design basis, project specifications, and design reports as required.
  5. Review vendor data from a structural perspective.
  6. Review analyses/calculations performed by others, provide technical guidance, and proactively resolve any discrepancies.

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Structural Engineering Design.
  2. Experience in Conceptual, FEED, and detailed engineering of offshore platforms and FPSO.
  3. Excellent technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver on quality and schedule.
  4. Proficient user of SESAM GENIE and SESAM suite of software.
  5. In-depth knowledge of latest revisions of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901, EN 19902, and applicable DNV & NORSOK codes.
  6. Ability to work in an office-based role.
