Job Title: Manufacturing Project Manager

Our client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Project Manager to join their team. As a key member of the Programme Managers and Manufacturing Management Team, you will play a crucial role in defining, planning, directing, and executing manufacturing projects/contracts at the Bolton site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and plan manufacturing projects/contracts to meet predetermined targets
  • Ensure cost control and schedule adherence
  • Manage stakeholder interfaces and report project progress across all aspects of performance
  • Develop and maintain essential relationships with internal customers and key subcontractors
  • Interpret requirements for manufacturing and create and manage plans and budgets related to contract risks and opportunities
  • Convey necessary project and program requirements to a diverse team to ensure successful completion
  • Play a pivotal role in tendering and bidding activities associated with future business acquisitions
Requirements:
  • Skilled Project Manager with a successful history of completing fixed-cost programs of substantial value in a matrix organisation
  • Preferably has experience in engineering or production
  • Skilled in communication, adept at forming solid connections, experienced in leading teams with varied functions, and capable of meeting tight deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and tenacious individual who can prioritise and understand strategic business needs while managing day-to-day tactical decisions
  • Relevant business experience and assistant-level Project Management skills
  • ESD training medical requirements
  • No Health surveillance requirements
What You'll Get to Do:

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, facilitating, and supporting the success of large-scale contracts throughout the product life cycle. You will also help create and manage plans and budgets related to contract risks and opportunities, convey necessary project and program requirements to a diverse team to ensure successful completion, and play a pivotal role in tendering and bidding activities associated with future business acquisitions.

Security Clearance:

As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by our client's Security Team.

About the Role:

This role is based in Bolton, one of their newest cutting-edge facilities, which also offers showers and bike racks. The Bolton site is considered one of the North West's leading manufacturing capabilities for the next 25 years and beyond. Training and development are offered to all employees.
