Clinical Educator

We are seeking an experienced and motivated midwife to join our team as a Clinical Educator in Midwifery. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified midwife with a passion for education and teaching to make a meaningful impact on the learning and development of our staff.
About the RoleThis Band 6 position involves leading on the delivery of a comprehensive training program for all staff, providing clinical teaching and specialist knowledge to meet the requirements of nationally driven education expectations. As a clinical expert in midwifery care, you will work alongside midwives to support the acquisition of new skills and knowledge, promoting evidence-based practice and clinical effectiveness.
With your strong background in midwifery and experience in teaching individuals or groups, you will be able to develop and implement training methods and materials to suit different learning styles. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to work autonomously while maintaining close relationships with others in the multidisciplinary team.
We offer a competitive salary of £38,890 - £44,503 per annum, depending on experience, along with a range of benefits including generous annual leave, flexible working hours, and opportunities for professional development.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a UK NMC registered midwife with a midwifery degree or equivalent, and have experience of facilitating staff with completion of extended competencies. A PGCE or Masters-level degree would be desirable, as would experience of evaluating clinical practice using research and audits.
