About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead our client, a leading manufacturer and supplier of industrial consumables, through the next phase of their development. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth, reducing inefficiencies, and achieving a successful exit within the next 3 years.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading businesses through transformation and turnaround, with experience in fundraising and investor relations. They will be able to deliver business improvements that add to the margin performance and have a strong understanding of the manufacturing sector.

The CEO will be accountable for the day-to-day operation of the business, leading the board of Directors and reporting to the external owners. They will work closely with the executive team to prepare the group financially and strategically for exit.

The role will be based on-site at our client's site in South Yorkshire, with travel throughout the UK. The salary for this role is supplemented by an Executive Package that includes 50% Bonus, Car, Health Care, Pension, Private Medical, Equity, and 33 days holiday.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a business through turnaround and an exit in the next 3 years, with the added financial incentives that this will bring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Motivating, developing, and empowering the team to deliver the change required
  • Collaborating closely with private equity investors, commercial leaders, operational and manufacturing teams, and other key stakeholders to drive value creation
  • Building relationships externally with customers, funders, suppliers, and insurers
  • Reviewing the existing organisation and operational activities, identifying quick wins that improve efficiencies in operational activities and revenue/earnings potential
  • Working closely with the CFO to ensure that key financial indicators are measured, reported on, and understood by the team
Requirements
  • Experienced CEO with a proven track record of leading businesses through transformation and turnaround
  • Strong understanding of the manufacturing sector and experience of working within a multi-site, multi-faceted business
  • Experience of fundraising and investor relations, with a strong network of contacts
  • Ability to deliver business improvements that add to the margin performance
  • Superlative leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and empower teams
