Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly financial reports and files
  • Analyse financial data, investigating and reporting on anomalies and discrepancies
  • Identification and tracking of gaps in financial performance and budgeting
  • Involved in budgeting and forecasting processes for Pilgrim's Europe
  • Prepare monthly financial journals, with reconciliation to weekly reports
  • Support in ensuring that financial submissions are compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Be a key team member when the Financial Accountant is unavailable
  • Complete detailed balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis
  • Provide exceptional customer service by building strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • To carry out other duties that may reasonably be requested to ensure the efficient running of Pilgrim's Europe's financial operations

Skills

  • Motivated and self-driven individual
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail essential
  • Ability to work as part of a team but also use own initiative and work independently
  • Work effectively under tight deadlines contributing to a busy and dynamic financial environment
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience of working within a finance function in a large organisation
  • Experience of working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, ideally SAP
  • Experience of producing daily and weekly financial reports to a short deadline; product costing knowledge
  • Experience of the Food and Consumer Goods (FCG) industry

Qualifications

  • AAT qualified and studying towards further professional qualification such as CIMA
