Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at KION Group. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and rectify faults on customer FLT's as deemed necessary, ordering spare parts efficiently.
  • Provide reliable information to customers regarding maintenance, repairs, and equipment usage.
  • Adhere to company H&S and Environmental policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Complete automated system and paperwork accurately and within stipulated timeframes.
  • Liaise with management for authorization of parts and process order numbers.
  • Share information regarding individual forklifts and equipment with relevant parties.
  • Propose improvements to work activities and work conditions.
  • Ensure all allocated work is completed and notify Manager or Controller if in arrears.
  • Follow specified Engineering Standards and Safe Working Practices.
  • Ensure stock levels and movement records are accurate.
  • Obtain hour meter readings and site information as requested.
  • Keep company-issued equipment and tooling in a satisfactory condition.
  • Work closely with the sales & STR team and refer leads.
  • Work to strict planned schedules and deadlines.
  • Take responsibility for van weight and safe/roadworthy condition.
  • Understand KPI's relating to service, admin, and stock.
  • Participate in training days, work meetings, and other meetings.
