About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis in Oxfordshire. As a key member of the Quality department, you will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers to implement best practices and reduce variation with defects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive process standardization and waste elimination through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Address internal non-conformances, quarantine suspect stock, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Compile data for weekly and monthly management review meetings, investigating quality issues from the previous week.
  • Conduct shop floor audits and sample inspections as determined by the Quality Manager.
  • Prepare Initial Sample Inspection Reports, Capability Studies, and R&R studies as required.
  • Collect material compliance data and prepare reports where necessary.
  • Resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Apply problem-solving techniques using RCA tools like 8D, 5WHY, ISHIKAWA, and FMEA's.
  • Reduce rejects, eliminate system errors, and minimize overall quality costs.
  • Monitor output, quality, and scrap rates, improving OTD performance.
  • Maintain records of products and approved suppliers.
Requirements
  • HNC qualification or experience in a similar role.
  • IATF16949 experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Good knowledge of APQP/PPAP is beneficial.
  • You should be a self-motivated individual with a right-first-time approach.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is £50,000-£55,000 per annum, dependent on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for growth and development.
