We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Advisor to join our team at ACS Construction Group Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, clients, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective HSE management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 and 14001 requirements, as well as relevant legislation.
- Manage and review site documentation, including the construction phase plan, environmental management plan, traffic management plan, emergency response plan, and waste management.
- Conduct site investigations, update incident registers, and assist teams with the close-out of actions.
- Chair safety meetings with employees, participate in client site-specific meetings, and consultative forums.
- Review internal and subcontractor risk assessments and method statements, COSHH assessments, and implement appropriate control measures.
- Assist with the development of risk assessments and implement ACS safety-critical operating procedures.
- Plan, conduct, and implement training for operatives, staff, and management in aspects of HSE.
- Liaise with clients regarding HSE-related matters.
- Assist with monthly KPI reporting and share with the HSE Manager and Board.
- 5+ years' experience in a Safety, Health, and Environmental role.
- Nebosh Health and Safety Diploma or equivalent.
- IEMA Environmental Management certificate.
- Nebosh General Certificate and/or Nebosh Construction Certificate.
- Practical hands-on-site approach.
- Team player with the ability to develop positive working relationships with clients and site teams.
- Experience with monitoring and review of working at height activities.
- Planning, organizing, problem-solving, reasoning, creativity, good communication skills, computer/technical literacy, flexibility, adaptability, managing multiple priorities, leadership/management skills, and multicultural sensitivity/awareness.
- Salary: £40-45,000 (negotiable depending on experience).
