Financial Modelling Director

We are seeking an experienced Financial Modelling Director to support our client's internal teams and business development for strategic tenders and M&A projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in producing financial models and detailed bottom-up builds of the business, collaborating closely with multiple departments, and presenting findings to senior management.

Our client operates within the transportation and infrastructure sector, so industry experience will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic tenders and M&A projects.
  • Conduct detailed bottom-up builds of the business from scratch to provide accurate financial forecasts.
  • Work closely with finance, business development, legal, and structured finance departments to gather necessary data and insights.
  • Provide expert-level option analysis and advise on financial risks, opportunities, and potential impacts of various business strategies.
  • Present complex financial information to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Support the Head of Financial Modelling in enhancing the financial modelling framework and incorporating best practices.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; CFA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial modelling and analysis, preferably within the transportation sector.
  • Experience within Big Four transaction services is ideal.
  • Demonstrated expertise in M&A, corporate finance, and capital markets.
  • Experience within bidding will be highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other financial modelling tools; knowledge of Power BI and/or VBA is a plus.
  • Ability to manage high-stakes projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop both technical skills and business understanding.
  • Capable of supporting ad hoc finance/strategic projects as they arise.
