Assistant Psychologist

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Assistant Psychologist to join our Mental Health Treatment Requirement (MHTR) Team, embedded within the Liaison and Diversion service. The successful candidate will work closely with our Principal Psychologist and clinical lead to develop and evaluate new service delivery models.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake psychological assessments and interventions of service users, working autonomously and collaboratively with other disciplines.
- Formulate and deliver care plans addressing service users' psychological needs.
- Communicate and liaise with criminal justice colleagues and partners to ensure effective service delivery.
- Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings to drive service improvement.
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to service users to enhance awareness of their psychological needs.

Person Specification
The successful candidate will possess a good Honours undergraduate degree in Psychology, experience of working with adults or older adults with mental health difficulties, and a postgraduate qualification in a psychology-related discipline. They will also have well-developed communication skills, appropriate understanding of confidentiality, and the ability to function in a largely autonomous fashion.
