Prison Substance Misuse Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Prison Substance Misuse Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment, providing specialist substance misuse care to offenders within a secure setting.
The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of risk assessment principles and procedures, as well as knowledge of substance misuse assessment, identification and management of withdrawal symptoms. They will also have experience working within substance misuse services, with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience as a Registered nurse.
As a member of our multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will contribute to the achievement of performance targets, ensuring that all waiting times, assessments and interventions are delivered in a timely manner. They will work closely with community mental health teams (CMHTs) to ensure appropriate sharing of information, continuity of care and the Care Programme Approach (CPA) for all offenders as necessary.
This role requires a strong clinical lead who can provide comprehensive and timely reports and mental health expertise to multi-agency public protection panels (MAPPA), police, probation services, solicitors and court liaison teams as directed. The successful candidate will also provide supervision to junior staff and receive supervision as directed.
We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a contributory pension scheme and generous annual leave entitlement.
