We are seeking a highly skilled Health Service Sciences Standards Evaluator to join our team. The role is an exciting opportunity for individuals with expertise in delivering and assessing NVQs/competence-based qualifications in the field of Health Service Sciences.

About the Role

As a Health Service Sciences Standards Evaluator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that national occupational standards are upheld in the Health Service Sciences sector. You will be responsible for carrying out centre visits to undertake sampling of learner work within defined parameters and rules to verify that assessment outcomes, assessment and internal verification processes meet national occupational standards.

You will also provide sector-specific support, advice and guidance to centres, produce reports for centres and Pearson on the sampling undertaken, outcomes reached, and support provided, and recommend limited certification, certification deferral or registration deferral where it is deemed that flawed assessment or internal verification decisions, or processes mean that national occupational standards are not met.

You will have a good working knowledge of the specifications that comprise the area of expertise for the role, excellent communication, written, verbal, IT and interpersonal skills, and significant experience in delivering and assessing NVQs/competence-based qualifications in the field of Health Service Sciences.

The salary for this position is approximately £45,000 per annum, based on UK industry standards and the level of expertise required.

  • word processing and basic spreadsheet manipulation skills

You must also be willing to work towards the Award in the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice qualification or currently hold/is working towards this qualification or an older equivalent.
