Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Residential Care Worker to join our team in Huntingdon. As a key member of our support staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people who have experienced trauma, neglect, or abuse.

About the Role

">

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a team environment. You will be responsible for:

  • Providing individualised support to children and young people, including personal care, education, and leisure activities
  • Developing and implementing person-centred care plans that meet the unique needs of each individual
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, psychologists, and medical practitioners
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or incidents to management

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised qualification in childcare or a related field (e.g., diploma, degree)
  • Experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma, neglect, or abuse
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins

Salary

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
