Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Class Teacher: Assist in delivering engaging lessons and activities, supporting students in both group and one-on-one settings.
  2. Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a stimulating atmosphere for all students.
  3. Individual Support: Provide individual support for students with additional needs, helping them with their academic and personal development.
  4. Lesson Preparation: Assist with preparing lesson materials and maintaining an organised classroom.
  5. Role Model: Act as a role model for students, promoting positive behaviour, teamwork, and perseverance.

We welcome applicants from backgrounds including youth work, sports coaching, and child counselling. Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or youth work are a plus but not essential.

Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Experience working with children is highly desirable.
  2. A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of young people.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work well as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  5. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
