Senior Ecologist Opportunity

Our client, a leading environmental consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecologist to join their team in Glasgow or Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to projects that drive the global journey to net zero.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead ecology-focused projects or oversee ecological/ornithological aspects within broader initiatives
  • Conduct and supervise ecological surveys, delivering high-quality Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA) and standalone assessments
  • Produce and review comprehensive ecology reports and technical chapters that set industry standards
  • Build strong client relationships, attend networking events, and represent the company at conferences, driving future business growth
Requirements:
  • Experienced Ecologist with a strong background in project management, ecological surveys, and technical report writing
  • Deep knowledge of UK ecology, conservation legislation, and protected species licensing
  • Flexible team player able to adapt and assist with other environmental assessments as needed
  • Client-focused with excellent communication skills
