Are you a passionate and dedicated English Tutor looking for a new challenge? We are seeking an experienced educator to join our team at YoungEducation, working with students at KS3, GCSE, and/or A level.

You will conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions, assess student progress, and provide regular feedback to parents and guardians. With a strong understanding of the English curriculum, you will develop and implement tailored lesson plans that cater to each student's unique learning needs and goals.

We welcome applicants with experience of working with children who present complex learning requirements and challenging behaviours, including SEN, ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, SEMH needs, and childhood trauma.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting one-on-one tutoring sessions with students at KS3, GCSE, and/or A-level
  • Assessing students' learning needs and developing personalised lesson plans
  • Providing guidance and support to students in improving their reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary skills
  • Helping students develop critical thinking and analytical skills through close reading and textual analysis
  • Preparing students for examinations, including mock tests and practice papers
  • Monitoring students' progress and providing regular feedback to parents and guardians
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field
  • Proven experience as an English tutor, preferably at KS3, GCSE, and/or A level
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum at KS3, GCSE, and A level
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of different abilities
  • Patience and empathy when working with students who may require additional support
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles
