Optical Customer Service Expert

A leading optical lab services provider in the UK, part of Zest Business Group, is seeking a full-time customer service expert to join their team in Lancaster.
The role involves providing high-quality solutions, support, and information to customers, including order chases, queries, stock issues, technical assistance, EDI queries, deliveries, pricing, and promotions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering exceptional customer service via phone calls and callbacks within agreed timelines
- Logging all interactions, orders, and credits accurately and efficiently
- Expediting urgent orders and resolving technical issues using help desk functions when necessary
- Liaising with contract account managers on account-related matters
- Fostering long-term relationships with customers and building rapport through every touchpoint
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 1 year of experience as an Optical Assistant
- Excellent understanding of customer service principles
- Strong relationship-building skills
This opportunity offers a competitive base salary of £23,490, a standard Monday-to-Friday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm, and 20 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
