**Job Title:** Support Worker Role

Nocturnal Recruitment Solutions is seeking a compassionate and experienced Support Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care to elderly, dementia service users within a residential care home in the Luton/Bedford area.

The ideal candidate will possess a good level of English (written & verbal) skills, be able to drive or commute to work in Sandy, Bedfordshire, and have at least 6 months UK experience in the care sector. The role requires flexibility Monday to Sunday, with shifts starting from 07:30 – 14:30 (Early), 14:30 – 21:30 (Late), and 21:30 – 07:30 (Night shift). A valid DBS on the update service is mandatory, alongside holding the mandatory certificates or being willing to complete them online.

About the Role:

  • To provide person-centred care to each service user, working as a team with other staff to deliver high-quality support.
  • To motivate and encourage service users to be independent while supporting them with social, emotional, and physical tasks and activities, including personal care.
  • To undertake manual handling, support with mobility, and always be an approachable companion.

Requirements:

  1. Care experience with elderly, learning disabilities, and dementia care is required, alongside a commitment to delivering care with dignity.
  2. Being flexible Monday to Sunday is preferable as continuity of care is required.
  3. Able to drive or commute to work in Sandy, Bedfordshire.
