Simpson Booth, a global leader in the supply of critical rentals and services to the oil & gas, infrastructure, power, environmental and renewable energy industries, is seeking an Electrical Systems Specialist.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining day-to-day workshop duties, including equipment testing and maintenance, build and commissioning of new equipment, modification, and upgrades to existing systems. The role requires documentation of all testing, inventory management, and stock checking, ensuring workshop areas are clean, efficient, and safe.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all equipment is hired off, tested, maintained, and upgraded according to system/OEM procedures.
  • Conduct inventories of equipment and ensure stock levels are maintained and reordered when necessary.
  • Assist the workshop team in maintenance and preparation of systems prior to deployment.
  • Maintain high-quality standards in all activities, adhering to company QHSE policies.
  • Liaise with the Workshop Supervisor to ensure workshop and yard areas are kept clean, presentable, and safe.
Requirements:
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and customer focus.
  • Good organisational skills and logical mindset.
  • Ability to work well as a team member and participate in safety meetings.
  • ONC/HNC/Apprenticeship/City and Guilds within an Electronic/Electrical discipline or equivalent experience.

We offer a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
