About the Role

The Senior Energy Infrastructure Strategist will play a key role in developing energy strategies to scale our grid-connected data centers. This includes identifying and analyzing energy generation and storage technologies, supporting the design and implementation of sustainable power solutions, and maintaining a deep understanding of barriers to growth and risks associated with the energy sector.

This role requires a strong analytical skill set, with experience in power market design, energy markets, and investment thesis formulation for new technologies. A proven track record of delivering projects in power systems and grid infrastructure, renewable power generation, and power trading or energy procurement is essential.

Key responsibilities include identifying systemic risks in power markets, working with Amazon partner teams to develop strategic energy sourcing opportunities, and managing energy projects against plans and objectives to ensure commitments are met, delivering against cost savings and sustainability goals.

About the Team

The EMEA Energy & Water Resources team at AWS focuses on delivering secure, sustainable, clean, and affordable energy and water infrastructure to support the needs of existing and future customers. We work closely with policymakers, public utility commissions, and other energy regulators to develop policies and guidelines enabling AWS strategies and objectives.
